The project aims to build an Ethanol Refinery Plant in the area of 350,000 s.q.m (m2) at the Tam Diep Industrial Park – Ninh Binh province – Vietnam. Product is mainly Ethanol and other sub-products such as: Lactic acid, Xyliton, Lignosulfonate, fertilizer, etc... Capacity of the plant is 200,000 tons/year. Operation period: 50 years. Ninh Binh province is one of the important agri-industry zone in the northern part of Vietnam. It has abundant sources of cellulose-based plants such as sugarcane, cassava, etc. These will be used as raw-materials together with other agriculture residuals and solid waste from Ninh Binh city. The supply of raw material has been secured after carefully research by the project’s consultants and promoters. The location in Tam Diep industrial park is quite ideal for logistic and transportation cost. Workers are also available. The project has been approved by the Ninh Binh authority, decision no.092032000014 dated 04/01/2008. The Government of Vietnam has approved the national biofuel development plan up to 2025, and Ethanol has been approved to be mixed with gasoline for use in Vietnam. The promoters have already signed an MoU for the use of advanced technology known as ACOS. A marketing agreement has been signed with Royal Vopak for Ethanol distribution.
